Deacons Office
"... created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10
Our Purpose
The office assists the elders ministries in the church for the purpose of freeing up the office for other works. Similar to the task of the first deacons mentioned in Act 6:2-4, the office serves individual members of the church in any act of kindness as we all are created to do the good things in Christ Jesus. In addition, the office executes different tasks that are assigned by the elders ministry.
What We Do
Currently, the office is running by 5 active members who are chosen according to the criteria provided in 1 Timothy 3: 8-10. The major activities done in the ministry include but not limited to are
- Communicating with fellow believers in their needs and serving them where needed
- Ushering guests during regular church services and meetings
- Collecting tithes and offerings
- Oversee and control different assets and inventories of the church
- Etc..
